    Hello folks,

i'm no good in php, so please don't slap me for this question.
Is it possible to change the title of the 'home'-page to another like 'welcome'.
And if it is ... please tell me as simple as possible how.

    Thank you so much!

    Greetings from Germany.

    Hello Bastiiiii,

Let me take a stab at this, this is a little like the blind leading the blind, however, as I know little about php also. Thankfully, much of what you can do in WP does not require much coding.

    OK, does this help:

Go to [presentation > nav menus] and in the column on the left, change the word "Home" to "Welcome". Does that not change the name in the nav bar from "Home" to "Welcome"?

I am not even sure this is what you were trying to do.

To my shame I have to say: I took another plugin from a german coder, which defines the the first static side (the one on top of the list) as front page. (http://arno-simon.de/?page_id=20)
    I think its easier.

So this thread can be closed.

But I'm really thankful for your help!

Alternatively, you could have renamed your page to anything. It merely needs to have a slug of home.

for those who are wondering, the above plugin makes the page with no parent the front page.
