I paste the mybloglog widget script (from yahoo) into the MyBlogLog widget box in the Presentation/Widgets and save it, then click to view my website -- it is not there. Then, when I go back to Presentations/Widgets and click on that mybloglog box again -- the javascript code has disappeared. I am using sem version 5.02.

    Any advice?

    Thanks

After pasting the code into the widget and closing the widget, you saved the widgets screen?

Yes. I did this several times but it keeps losing the script. I just did it again right now and the same thing is happening. Here's my checklist:

    1. open up Widgets and add MyBlogLog to the Right Side Bar.
    2. Click on the widget to edit it.
    3. Go to mybloglog.com, log in, copy the script for "New with Me Sidebar Widget Code"
    4. paste the code into the widget box on my site
    5. close the widget box
    6. save changes
    7. view site -- mybloglog does NOT show up in the right side bar
    8. go back to Widgets to discover why mybloglog does not show on the site
    9. click on mybloglog widget to view -- nothing is there. the script I have previously saved has disappeared.

P.S. I have just discovered that none of my widget edits are saving. Apparently I have a permissions problem?

    Change Step 5 to this:

    5. At the lower left corner of the widget box, click change. This will close the widget box.

EDIT: Sorry, missed that you were using 5.0.2
In 5.5, all widget boxes must be saved within the widget by clicking Change.

What is the version of the mybloglog widget in the plugins screen?

mybloglog widget plugin version is 2.0

When the widget box is open there is not an option to "click change". there's not an option at all -- just an X in the upper right window. Then, there's a "Save Changes" option in the main widgets config window.

SLP 5.6 will use the new Mybloglog reader widget. This eliminates the need to cut and paste code. an empty widget is a sign the pasted code is failing validation by the widget (ie not valid MBL code).
