I was in the midst of building www.an124.com - an SLP blog.
It was, I thought, in robust good health as it is a new build with SLP 5.5 RC3.

I have just come back to it to find it in the condition you can see from the link.
For want of anything better to do I checked the CMOD settings and found wp-config.php was blank, I know not why as it was correctly set when I did the install.

Correcting that somehow also changed the htaccess so by progressive checking I now have all the CHMOD setting correct and by refreshing the Layout and Skin some elements of the structure have come back - but that is the extent of my technical skills.

I see also that the link to this Community is missing from that blog. So I have accessed the forum through another site.

    Any suggestions?

    Bruce

I don't understand what you mean by collapsed?

Besides the widget box widget being too wide, the site doesn't look bad.

    Bruce,

I am finding the same thing as Paul, generally nice looking with the exception that it is a bit wide in the sidebar.

    Odder and Odder.

As you say, looks quite normal in IE but very different in Firefox.
Two header images side by side, all the sidebar content is down the bottom.

    I wonder?
The second image would push the sidebar down to the bottom.
I have used some different header images for specific pages, including using the default image again.
I wonder if FF cannot deal with that and reproduces them both.

    Later:
Checked but found I had not got the same header image loaded anywhere as both default and specific page header.
The Flight news widget looks like it is not fully contained in the sidebar.
Removed the widget but no change.

    Deleted the default header.
Image disappeared in FF - but the alt text still showing.
Image did NOT disappear in IE - despite multiple refreshes. Event later - eventually it disappeared.

When viewed in FF the Semiologic/Resources/Community links do not appear - but are present in IE.

Run out of ideas for the moment.
    Any suggestions?

    Regards

I use Firefox (ver 2.0.0.14) by default and your site looks fine(first attachment). Also viewed it in IE 7.0 and it looks the same.

Quite a few users seem to be having browser issues, make sure you clean your cache and remove your site's cookie, and as a fail safe restart your comp.

Thanks, I've had another issue that was resolved by clearing the cache in the meantime so that might have been the problem.

From the screenshot it looks like you caught it while I was messing with removing the header image. Anyway, I have now gone the non-tech route and uninstalled, re-installed and rebuilt from scratch. It was a rainy day here anyway.

Decision really taken because I remained concerned at finding one of the CHMOD setting blank and not wanting to carry any rubbish forward with me.

    Regards
    Bruce
